Paris Inspiration (Continued)...

In my Visual Communications course, as a continuation of surface design, we were required to create patterns. I was very inspired by the architecture of Paris. My pattern collection, titled High End Romance, is an illustration of this. Paris is a beautiful place, full of people, colors and life. Its buildings are edgy, unique, modern, yet traditional and full of originality. These are the same things I sought to incorporate into my work and my fashion collection. Below are two patterns that I created, inspired by the Louvre Pyramids:

Paris Inspiration

This past summer, I visited Paris for the first time. Words cannot describe how amazing this city is. This trip was a dream come true and still feels so surreal. It feels like I had the best dream ever.
I was taking classes with Parsons Paris and I had a remarkable experience. There is still some things I did not get to do or other places I did not get to visit... but that is just another reason for me to go back and visit :)

Unfortunetly, I didn't get to make videos, but this video I found perfectly describes some experiences I had in Paris. I think it is such a great, beautiful video :)

These images I found capture some of my best memories of Paris. I have included some images I took as well :)

Fashion Drawing Practice

Drawing is something I struggle with very much but I am working hard on improving. I have a great teacher this semester and so far he has helped me very much. This is one of my sketches for my fashion drawing class. This assignment was focused more on shading as well as contour drawing. On the left side is the shaded drawing and on the right is the contour drawing.

Fun Pattern Creation

Just a few days ago, I passed by the Laduree shop in New York City (which just opened). I haven't had a chance to go in and buy some of their notorious macaroons! Laduree is a very famous french pastry shop mostly known for their macaroons. Macaroons are so delicious and not to mention very colorful! Oh how I love color and macarrons! I was very inspired by the presentations and random images of macaroons, as well as images from Laduree, that I decided to make a pattern out of them.

These were some of the pictures which inspired me:

This is the pattern I created in 2 different color ways (all created on Adobe Photoshop) :
